ניקיון (טוהר)

Clarity is one of the most important factors that define a diamond’s beauty and value.
It refers to the natural imperfections, whether internal (inclusions) or external (blemishes), that form within the diamond over millions of years.
These unique characteristics are assessed based on their size, number, and visibility, offering insight into the diamond’s journey from deep within the earth.
To the naked eye, a diamond may appear flawless, but under 10x magnification, even the finest diamonds can reveal tiny secrets.
Clarity is graded on a scale, starting from Flawless (FI)
completely free of imperfections, to Included 3 (I3), where inclusions are visible without any magnification.

Today’s advanced tools allow for precise clarity grading, but expert gemologists still rely on a simple magnifying loupe to spot the delicate details hidden within each stone.
Clarity becomes especially important when evaluating high-quality diamonds, as even the smallest imperfection can impact the stone’s value and brilliance.
While some imperfections can be cleverly hidden by jewelry settings or treated with modern techniques like laser drilling and silicone filling, the true value of a diamond lies in its natural purity.
Let your diamond tell its story, from its unique clarity to the way it sparkles in the light—because no two diamonds are exactly alike.

degrees of clarity of the diamond:

Flawless (FL) – No internal or external imperfections under 10x magnification. Extremely rare and highly valued.

Internally Flawless (IF) – No internal imperfections, but may have minor external blemishes under 10x magnification.

Very Very Slightly Included (VVS1, VVS2) – Minute inclusions that are extremely difficult to detect under 10x magnification, even for a skilled grader.

Very Slightly Included (VS1, VS2) – Minor inclusions that are somewhat difficult to detect under 10x magnification.

Slightly Included (SI1, SI2) – Noticeable inclusions that are easy to detect under 10x magnification but may still be invisible to the naked eye.

Included (I1, I2, I3) – Inclusions are obvious under 10x magnification and may affect transparency and brilliance. These inclusions may be visible to the naked eye.
